Jack Clayton Boston. 13ft step tapered float/match rod. Late 60’s early 70’s. Step tapered construction. Mid jnt 3 pieces with 2 whipped joints. Tip has fine tip spliced into it. Resulting in a rod with a fine tip for striking and flexible mid action for casting and playing fish. 24 in cork handle in sound condion. Male ferrules resin coated glass. They function correctly and require occasional wax.Female ferrules brass. Chrome intermediates. Lined butt and tip rings ( which is threaded to take a swing tip) Maroon whippings. All original. The rod bag is slightly shrunk and requires new tapes. All in all a very good condition rod of this era. Unusual greeny grey finish. Believe it was referred to as Fenland Heron. I bought this rod as unused about 10/12 years ago and used it a handful of times. Time to thin down my collection.
