Abel Super 12 fly reel 'platinum' custom finish

Relisted due to mistake by original purchaser. Abel Super 12 fly reel, 'platinum' polished aluminium custom finish. Dark exotic hardwood handle. Scrupulously maintained. Set up for right hand retrieve but can easily be changed to left hand wind. This is the click-out/silent-in model. Abel's famously silky smooth 'stop-a-sub' cork drag. Complete with Abel protective reel pouch. The reel itself has only light surface marks from normal use., and is in superb working condition. There are no deep scratches, dings, or deep gravel rash. I have done my best to show the excellent condition of the reel in the photographs but the highly polished surface makes this tricky.Abel Super reels can be used in fresh or salt water. If used in salt water they should be rinsed in fresh water after each use. I mainly use this model on my 14' and 15' spey rods #9/10 spey rods.Loaded with fresh Rio 30lb backing and a Rio ConnectCore™ running line. The Rio skagit line in the photos will be removed and is not part of this sale.The reel is an example of the Angling Pro scheme, when the company was under previous ownership in California. The reel is engraved with the name of the recipient - Nigel Griffiths.
