Moulinet Francais Decantelle Reel - *EXTRA RARE* late model, great condition

*EXTRA RARE* Moulinet Francais Brevete S.G.D.G. Decantelle L.P.S. Type B 4” (the only size they made) serial 10012 (pre Hardy production Silex type alloy casting reel) with very rare alloy reel foot. A very rarely seen reel and interesting piece of vintage fishing tackle history. Around 11,000 were made from the early 1920’s and with this one being in the 10,000 range, it makes this a late production model. One of the last made in France before Hardy licensed production and made them in Alnwick from the early 1930’s onwards. Smooth polished finish and the very rarely seen alloy reel foot (most are brass). Tensioner turns smooth and brake handle moves freely.In great collectors condition for its age. It would be great for fishing too for steelhead or hard running fish. The brake works perfectly and will stop hard running fish dead in their tracks! Reel runs fine and spins smooth (see video). No line burn looks like its had little use. Marks in line with age and use (see pictures)Would be a great addition to a Hardy collection to sit along Silex reels and Hardy Decantelle’s.
