81. Antique Boxed Allcocks Stanley Threadline Reel

I have for sale a boxed antique Allcocks Stanley Threadline reel together with a 28 page Light Casting for all 9th Edition Handbook of the Allcock Stanley Light Casting Reel and the 98 page Limited Edition The Stanley Story Book which is signed by the Author John Stevenson..This is a proper Collectors item and is the forerunner of the modern Fixed Spool Reel. It's design allowed Anglers to use much finer lines and to cast further than with a Centrepin reel thus improving presentation and access to fish. The reel came into production in the early 1930's and revolutionised Angling.This reel is in good condition and everything works perfectly.It does however have some paint loss which is not uncommon in these "ancient" examples. This can be seen in the photographs.I am happy to answer any questions but please do not ask for a buy it now price as I always allow the auction to run its course.  The buyer will not be disappointed.
