A 7 ½ inch Wood & Brass Centre Pin Reel

This reel has no identification of model nor maker. It is of very sturdy build with a brass foot / stand / star back and a Wooden Spool. The handles are free turning and feel easy to hold, even in the coldest weather. The spool, has been turned from one piece of wood, I regret that I do not know what wood has been used, and is mounted on a brass stand and star back. The spool has been varnished and could do with stripping and re varnishing to show it at its best.  The reel has a ratchet system, to warn of a take, and to stop line being pulled off by the wind. The gross weight, as it stands, is approx. 2 lbs 6 oz.The diameter of the spool is 7½ ins and the width is 3½ ins. The reel is currently half loaded with braided line of indeterminate age and strength.Delivery offered will be through ebay Special Delivery.Local collection or exchange can be arranged.
