Description

The Hardy Graphite De-Luxe 9 ft #6/7 - Fly Rod - great condition   The Hardy Graphite De-Luxe #6/7 is a premium, classic carbon fibre fly fishing rod manufactured in Alnwick, England by the historic Hardy Fly brand. Originally introduced during the early era of high-end graphite rod making, this series is highly regarded by both vintage collectors and practical anglers for its traditional British craftsmanship and smooth casting performance   Key Specifications & Build Material & Action: Built from high-grade carbon fibre (graphite) featuring a crisp, lightweight tip action that balances classic flex with modern recovery speed. Line Rating: Rated for AFTM #6/7 weight lines, making it a highly versatile tool for diverse conditions. Aesthetics: Distinctive deep burgundy/claret blank finish with guides whipped in matching burgundy silk and tipped with fine red/scarlet accents. Handle & Fittings: Equipped with a premium 7-inch full cork handle, a down-locking or up-screw anodised reel seat, and a spigot ferrule joint featuring a polished alloy stopper. Long variants typically feature a screw-out cork extension butt. Common Configurations: Available primarily as a 2-piece rod in several lengths, most notably 8'6", 9'0", 9'3", and 10'0"   Ideal Fishing Applications A #6/7 line rating is widely considered a "sweet spot" for traditional game fishing across the UK and Europe: Target Species: Excellently suited for targeting brown trout, rainbow trout, and grayling. It provides enough backbone to occasionally handle sea trout or smaller river chub. Water Types: Highly effective as an all-round river rod and an excellent option for light still water, loch, or small reservoir fishing. Rigging: The #6/7 rating allows the rod to cut through moderate winds effortlessly, making it perfect for punching out larger dry flies, heavy wet fly teams, or standard nymph rigs   Lovely deep maroon type colour with bright red accents all along rod, makes the rod really pop and stand out. Great looking.   Excellent condition - has only been used a few times no marks or scratches on it truly is a wonderful example.   Thick luxurious deep blue cloth protection bag with grey material tie ups. This shows signs of wear and tear and general use.   Comes with a green clear TEK-NEEK carry tube which also shows signs of wear and tear.
