Antique original Allcock Hercules fishing hook packet 1910s plus 2 vintage reels

Together with 2 vintage fishing reels, this is an original, early twentieth century card packet, by the extremely well-known firm of S. Allcock of Redditch. The packet bears the name of the original product: a Hercules Wire Gimp Hook, No. 2 size. The registered design mark dates the original pack design to the1880s. The folding design of the packet, with a tongue fitting into a pocket, is a particularly impressive way of securing and protecting the product.It does contain an old barbed hook with line and lead weights, whether this is original I do not know.This packet would date from shortly after 1910, as that is the date of the most recent awards (Bergen and Brussels) that are celebrated on the packaging. It is over-stamped Limerick 4531, possibly by the retailer.The packet itself measures approx. 3 inches (7 cm.).There are one 2.75 inch diameter wooden reel with 2 handles, and one 2.125 inch bakelite reel with a single handle. The bakelite reel does have a couple of cracks.Post and packing, in U.K., free.
