VINTAGE 3” MALLOCH STYLE SIDECASTING REEL

I can not make up my mind whether this reel is homemade or not.. it is so well made it could be some form of prototype. A 3” Malloch style sidecaster Made of alloy and brassFitted with Malloch style rotating brass foot with stop mechanism and knurled button, and a brass casting eyeShaped bone ? Handle. A reversible spool with a simple push &lift up spool release catch ( never seen this type before but works beautifully)Has a thumb on /off knurled switch to operate the check fitted to the rim of the reel ( similar to the smallest Malloch sidecaster )Although the check fitted is working intermittently it does require attention The reel is in good condition but does have two small casting faults to the faceplate.
