vintage Olympic BM3 Closed Face Match Reel Made in England. 1986.

The best closed face reel I have ever used and I've tried them all. Olympic and Shakespeare both branded these English reels. Olympic is the very much rarer reel. Can't have a full closed face reel collection without one of these.Same size as the ABU 507 but up an graded. Foam fitted under push button and I never had line bed. Plastic shallow spool. When new there would have been 3 colour coded shallow spools unfortunely this has just one.The Olympic BM3 Closed Face Match Reel is the same as Shakespeare 2020 but much rarer. Only on sale for a couple of years in the 80's until both companies switched to cheaper Japanese models. Shakespeare owned a couple English reel makers at the time and I'm not sure which produced these.If you're a closed face fan you'll be impressed.
