Rare early Hardy “Featherweight” 9ft 6” 2 piece (plus 3 tips) Palakona split cane Fly Rod in very good condition. Lockfast joints, crimson eye and intermediate whipping, lined butt and tip rings, turned hardwood stopper and a detachable cork handle with single nickel silver slip ring wooden reel seat. This rod, stamped 16200 (1890) has seen a repair and lacquer crazing to one tip section,  the remaining sections are in very good condition for a rod of this age. The rod comes in a later style Hardy cloth bag, the tips come in a 3 pocket cloth bag and Hardy leather capped bamboo tube for storage.Tube length 143cm. 605
