scarce vintage Nottingham-style centrepin fishing reel dating from approximately the late 19th to early 20th century. Constructed with an alloy frame, ebonite/bakelite winding plate and handle, brass spindle fitting and exposed brass pillars. A very traditional handmade appearance with lovely untouched patina throughout. The reel has a removable winding plate and broad foot suitable for early coarse or salmon rods. A very attractive display piece or usable collector’s reel.
