Vintage Hardy Bros Alnwick 2.5” brass fly reel in very good original condition complete with quality leather reel case. A genuine early Hardy reel stamped: “Hardy Bros Makers Alnwick” Dating to approximately the early 1900s–1920s period. Features include: Brass construction with original aged patina Ebonite handle Brass foot Early narrow drum trout reel design Traditional click/check mechanism Approx. 2.5” diameter Supplied with fitted leather reel case embossed “Leather crafts England  The reel retains a very attractive untouched appearance with honest age-related wear and patination throughout. Spins nicely with good check tension. No obvious cracks or major damage noted. An excellent collectible early Hardy trout reel ideal for pairing with light split cane tackle or for display in a vintage tackle collection.
