Vintage Grice & Young “Gypsy D’Or” centrepin fishing reel in very good original condition. A classic English-made Nottingham style reel produced by Grice & Young Ltd of Christchurch, England, probably dating from the 1950s. The reel retains its original dark hammered finish with perforated spool, twin black handles, alloy line guide and original check mechanism. Internally the gearing and spindle appear clean and mechanically sound. The reel spins nicely and the check operates correctly. A very collectable traditional coarse / float fishing reel and ideal for display, collection or occasional fishing use.
