Vintage Brass & Ebonite Fishing Winch Reels – Allcock & Wilkes Osprey Nottingham

A superb group of three antique brass and ebonite fishing winch reels comprising two S. Allcock examples and one Wilkes Osprey reel. These reels date from approximately 1890–1915 and are classic Nottingham-style centrepin/winch reels used for coarse fishing, pike and early river angling. The lot includes: Early S. Allcock brass winch reel with check mechanism Wilkes Osprey brass and ebonite winch reel Smaller S. Allcock plain brass winch reel All retain their original handles, brass feet and aged untouched finish. Condition is generally very good for age with: honest wear surface marks tarnish/patina minor oxidation in places All reels appear complete and display beautifully.
