Description
Vintage Kenny Kendal 4” centrepin reel, dating to approximately the late 1950s / early 1960s. A classic English coarse fishing reel, often associated with reels made by Arthur Crompton and sold through Kendal’s tackle shop. These reels are sometimes referred to as “Match Aerial” or “Spitfire Aerial” types, due to their lightweight ventilated drum design. Features: 4” diameter drum – ideal for trotting and match fishing Ventilated spool with alloy construction Triple handle configuration Rear-mounted check mechanism Traditional wide alloy foot Condition: Original, untouched example with honest age-related patina Spins freely (mention if you test: smooth / slight resistance) Light surface wear and marking consistent with age No cracks or structural damage observed Internals complete including check spring A scarce and collectible British centrepin reel, increasingly sought after by anglers and collectors of vintage tackle.
