Vintage Abu Ambassadeur 1000 multiplier reel made in Sweden. A collectible and increasingly hard-to-find compact Ambassadeur baitcasting reel dating from August 1982 (foot number 820800). Finished in the classic Abu red with black spool and twin handle knobs. The Ambassadeur 1000 model is highly regarded for ultralight lure fishing and is popular with Abu Garcia collectors. The reel appears mechanically complete with functioning level wind and smooth handle rotation.
