The highlight of the collection is a scarce brass-mounted wooden-handled salmon gaff marked: BERNARD & SON 45/46 JERMYN ST ST JAMES’S LONDON Bernard & Son were renowned London sporting outfitters supplying quality fishing tackle, hunting and country sports equipment during the late Victorian and early twentieth century period. The lot also includes a selection of vintage British-made fish tailers, alloy landing tools, telescopic and travel-style salmon gaffs and other traditional game fishing accessories. Condition is good vintage used condition with age-related wear, marks, oxidation and cosmetic surface scratches consistent with age and use. All remain solid displayable pieces.
