Rare vintage Hardy “The Wye” 12ft 6” 3 piece (plus spare tip) Palakona split cane Salmon Fly Rod in excellent vintage condition. Copper wound Lockfast joints, burgundy eye and intermediate whippings, lined butt and tip rings, turned hardwood stoppers and a 24” cork handle with alloy sliding screw grip reel seat. This exceptional rod (light use) stamped H20995 (1959) comes with its original purpose made Hardy 4 pocket khaki cloth bag included.Condition * Cane straight no sets, damage or repair* Eyes and whipping original and sound* Varnish excellent for a rod of this age* Markings and stampings all present and correct * Cork handle clean and complete, consistent with light use.* Bag faded but intactThis rare 67 year old Twin Tip Fly Rod has seen light use only and been well maintained.
