This is a classic early Hardy Gordon “Matchquest” 14ft coarse/match rod, produced in Alnwick, England, likely dating from the late 1960s to early 1970s. The olive green blank with crimson whippings, sliding alloy reel fittings, and Hardy Gordons badge are all characteristic of the period. It appears to be a 4-piece fibreglass match/float rod supplied in the original cloth bag.
