Vintage Hardy “The Murdoch” 10ft 6” 3 piece (plus short spare tip) whole cane Fly Rod in very good condition. Bronzed brass joints, green snake eye and intermediate whipping, lined butt and tip rings, and a hardwood handle with single sliding ring Universal reel holder. This twin tip trout rod, stamped C29272 (1922), comes with what is thought to be its original Hardy 4 pocket khaki bag included.Condition:* Cane straight no sets or damage, tips 2” and 9” short* Eyes and whipping appear to be original and sound* Varnish very good for a rod of this age * Stampings and markings present and correct* Wooden handle and fittings clean and complete* Bag intactThis is an early example of a Trout Fly Rod from the respected British rod builder, Hardy of Alnwick.Un assembled length 108cm. 717
