Rare Vintage Hardy George W Daughterty GD2 8ft Tournament casting rod mint 1937

Rare Hardy “The Tournament GD2” Made to special order by George W Daughterty casting champion of USA 8ft staggered ferrule 2 piece Palakona split cane FlyRod in excellent condition. This display quality casting rod is thought to be a “one off” made for GD, stamped E41029 it was manufactured in 1937 by Hardy Bros Ltd Alnwick . The rod has bronzed brass suction ferrule, burgundy whipped snake eyes, lined butt and tip rings, and a 9 1/2” cork handle with single sliding ring reel seat. An exceptional rod that comes complete in its original (repaired) Hardy twin pocket khaki cloth bag. More photos anre available on request.Un-assembled length 159cm. (405)
